Sebastian Klinger is a Swiss-based cinematographer shooting award-winning films, commercials and documentaries. Born in Zurich in 1993, he studied film and tv production at the University of Applied Sciences in Chur, which brought him to his initial passion of cinematography as the art of bringing a story to life with images. Besides that, Sebastian has also developed a strong interest in the post production process of a film including editing and the implementation of visual effects.
A short film he recently worked on, Sew Torn has been acquired by Searchlight Pictures and qualified for the Oscars 2020. Sebastian recently produced and shot an award-winning trilogy of Swiss short films including Pünt (Garden Plot), Maiensäss (Alpine Getaway) and Paxmal (The Station In-Between). In addition, he is part of the ASC Vision Mentorship program aiming at connecting professional American cinematographers with aspiring filmmakers like Sebastian.
