Melissa Taylor was born in Toronto to Italian-Croatian parents. As a child, she lived in both Los Angeles, CA and Scottsdale, AZ before moving back to Canada. She grew up figure skating, dancing, and playing varsity rugby at the University of Waterloo, where she graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering and an assemblage of theatre roles under her belt.
Upon moving to Vancouver, Canada, Melissa has focused her craft in film and television. She credits Sandra Bullock as her major actor inspiration and was nominated for Best Actress for her lead role in the indie film, "Dust of Phantasm" (Alternative Film Festival).
