Robinson Díaz was born in Envigado in 1966. He began acting as a teenager at the INEM school in Medellín in a theater group he formed with his friends, where he staged plays by authors such as Carlos José Reyes and Luis Enrique Osorio. Eager to become a professional, he traveled to Bogota to attend the National School of Dramatic Art (ENAD), where he graduated as a master in performing arts in 1991. Since then he has participated in more than 25 professional plays from Moliere to Shakespeare, including national authors and contemporary playwrights, and has more than 35 television and film productions on his resume that show his dedication to the art of acting. His long and solid career in television, film and theater has allowed him to travel with his shows to many countries.
He was an exclusive actor for Caracol Television for 20 years between 1997 and 2014 standing out in productions such as La mujer del Presidente, La otra mitad del sol, Pecados capitales, La Saga, El Cartel de los Sapos, Vecinos, La pena máxima, Bolívar soy yo, El Cartel de los Sapos, El Señor de los Cielos (1,2,5,6,7), El laberinto, La gente de la Universal, Te amo Ana Elisa, Mentiras Perfectas, Tiro de gracia etc. In 2019 he is hired as an exclusive actor for Telemundo network. His interpretative record has earned him numerous national and international awards. He develops his work in the three languages and currently participates and produces one of the theater versions of "La Dama de Negro" with his wife, also an actress and producer: Adriana Arango. In this play he also works with the Mexican Rafael Perrin, and at the same time works in the version of "Wenses y Lala", a play written and directed by Adrián Vázquez at the Casa E theater in Bogotá, where he lives.
